PRESENTER
This experiential workshop will be taught by Tanya Madhavi Nash. For Tanya, Yoga is a life of Sadhana – living each moment with conscious awareness. The movements, breath, mantras and stillness on the yoga mat are the practices that cultivate this awareness; bringing harmony to life off the mat. Tanya shares these teachings around the world through her work as a teacher, healer and volunteer in Canada, the United States, Europe and India.

- heal, create and sustain relationships in harmony with your values,
- break free of the false choice between submission or rebellion,
- listen compassionately, even to someone who is judging, blaming or demanding,
- ask for what you want without paying for it later,
- reduce tension and stress in any situation,
- transform anger and conflict, and
- cultivate connection and trust.

Paul Fauteux is an international lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in international negotiations.  In 2002 he received the title of Yoga Acharya from the Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy of Rishikesh, India, following his advanced teacher’s training.  He has been studying NVC with Marshall B. Rosenberg, Ph.D., the founder of the Centre for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC), an international peacemaking organization, and other trainers since 2005.  In 2009 Paul was ordained into the Order of Interbeing by Zen Buddhist Master Thich Nhat Hahn.

Paul’s engaging style and playful wisdom will inspire you and deepen your understanding of yourself and of human relationships.  His workshops include interactive and experiential activities that address all learning styles.  You will work with participants’ examples and learn through discussion, role-play, reflection, laughter and fun!  Handouts and tools will also be provided to help you start using NVC in your daily life.

Reiki (pronounced (ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s life force energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

When coming to a Reiki session, please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.

To enhance your experience, sessions are conducted in silence on a massage table in a private, comfortable setting.
